In its twelfth consecutive year, this professional team figure skating competition features the world's elite skaters. OLAY presents ICE WARS: BATTLE OF THE SEXES will be taped by CBS for prime time broadcast in late November. "Ice Wars" will be live at the Peoria Civic Center Arena on Thursday, November 17, 2005, at 7 p.m.

"Ice Wars" has featured team competition since its inception in 1994, but this will be the first time that the teams have been divided by gender. The competition will pit the best professional ladies singles skaters in the world against the best professional men.

The men's team will consist of Olympic Gold Medalist Brian Boitano, Olympic Gold Medalist Alexei Yagudin, four-time World Champion Kurt Browning, and two-time Olympic Silver Medalist Elvis Stojko.

The women's team will feature Olympic Gold Medalist Oksana Baiul, Olympic Silver Medalist Nancy Kerrigan, 1994 World Champion Yuka Sato, and U.S. National Champion Nicole Bobek.

The competition requires that each skater perform two artistic programs. A panel of professional judges will award the marks with the individual scores being added together for a team total.
